Rose Dawn Has Arrived....The fresh Sunny collection from Jane Iredale

We just got in two need products that I am obsessed with. As if Moonglow or Sunbeam wasn't enough to love from Jane Iredale, they now have come out with Rose Dawn
(sounds like something from a twilight movie, eh? )

What it consists of is four stunning shades, ranging from cool pink to bronze tones, to add a subtle glow to your complexion.
Did you know that you are supposed to apply bronzer to your face where the sun hits first such as your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin?Designed with versatility in mind, this palette can be used on eyes, cheeks or as an all over highlighter to create a natural-looking radiance.

Then to complete your fresh new look - enjoy full, supple lips with two new shades of Just Kissed Lip Plumper. It not only plumps without too much tingle, but it truly hydrates without de-hydrating making your lips kissable for hours on end ;)

Choose from Rio, a rosy brown, or L.A., the soft pink from Sugar&Butter you’ve loved for years!

Last but not least, from the Feeling Alive the new Pink Lip Definer.

This rose petal pink pencil glides on smoothly and provides a long-lasting base for any lipstick or gloss.

So, there you have it - fun spring new colors to enjoy from Jane Iredale available at Sanctuary Spa!

Is your skin is thirsty this time of year?

We have noticed that many of our clients and even our staff, is complaining of severely dry - dehydrated skin. It is a common factor that comes along with winter weather.

Did you know that there is an actual difference between dry skin and dehydrated skin?

“Dry skin is an imbalance in the body that causes the skin to lack essential oils. It can be caused by the absence or malfunction of sweat or sebaceous glands,” explains Scott-Vincent Borba, celebrity esthetician, in New Beauty.

“Dehydrated skin is skin that’s been stripped of moisture. It can be aggravated by an improper diet, a dry climate, sun, wind, and heat, not drinking enough water, certain medications and stripping skin-care products − as well as the aging process.”

Who would have known that there is a real difference?

Here are a few tips to help infuse moisture and hydration back into the skin for a glowing, fresh look.

1. Drink Water: The average human body is made up of 60%-75% of water, and we often forget to replenish it. We should be drinking 8 glasses of water a day, are you??

2. Exfoliate: Use an exfoliating scrub in the shower 2 to 3 times a week to help exfoliate the dry skin off of the epidermis. Your makeup will apply better and skin care products will hydrate deeper!

3. Strengthen the skin:  Use a good Medical grade skin care regimen. From antioxidant active rich cremes to nourishing peptides, your skin needs certain "boosts" to help strengthen your immunity to everyday
 harsh free radicals.

4. Sunscreen:  Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. Wear it all day, everyday - there really is nothing more to say!

5. Remember to hydrate at night:  Cleansing your skin is just as important at the end of the day as it is at night. We often are too tired to give our skin the attention it needs at nighttime, but did you know skin is the largest working organ in the body and it conducts most work in the evening?  Food for thought, or your skin... either way, moisturize at night so your skin looks flawless in the morning!

Just a few things from my desk to yours to help your skin stay hydrated this winter season!!!
